The Jews Are Coming, 'The Circumcision Sketch' (2014)

The Jews Are Coming (Hahudim Ba'im) is an irreverent Israeli sketch comedy that applies rigorous, often uncomfortable scrutiny to the foundational narratives and laws of the Jewish tradition. In this clip, the characters seek out technical loopholes to bypass the required ritual of male circumcision. The humour arises from the contrast between the gravity of the ritual and the trivial, lawyer-like precision they use to disqualify themselves from it.
